Case Studies

The cases that follow demonstrate our experience with a diversity of workplace issues.  In each case we were able to successfully negotiate, mediate, or litigate.  Confidentiality agreements prohibit us from mentioning names, case IDs, and settlement terms. 


Disability Discrimination

Our client requested special accommodations for her disability.  Her employer refused to meet her requests, violating the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Religious Discrimination and Retaliation

Our client, a Muslim employee, alleged that his employer refused to accommodate his observance of religious holidays.  Also, the employer promoted other less qualified (Caucasian) employees over our client.  When our client complained of discrimination, he was terminated in retaliation.  

Severance Agreement

Our client worked for years at a small start up.  He was terminated when the start up was acquired by a larger company.  He hired us to negotiate his severance agreement.

Sexual Harassment

We litigated claims filed against a real estate agency and its manager for ongoing physical and verbal sexual harassment. 

Violation of Family and Medical Leave Act

Our client was denied an intermittent leave of absence to obtain chemotherapy treatment.  His employer was violating the Family and Medical Leave act.
